Last week, I was on a 10-day detox diet. Like all detox diet, the goal was to lose weight – and I did!
But the process was a challenge.
I had to eat just fruits and vegetables – so I settled for mostly sliced fruits, smoothies, salads, and soups. This was one of the soups that I truly enjoyed and curbed my cravings for carbs. While my friend were enjoying a paella and some pasta in Cafe Enye, I had to settle for salad, veggie burrito and soup.
I also had to give away some junk food in my pantry at home, mostly to my officemates. Although, I’m still thinking about giving away my stack of chocolates. Some of them were still from my Europe trip, so it’s killing me!
Out of this whole experience, I realized that it’s possible to control my cravings (mostly for sweets) and lose weight in the process. I still have a long way to go though, because I only lost about 5 kilos. My goal is to reach 60 kilos at least, and I’m 65kg now.
But I know it’s possible and I hope to keep this challenge until I reach my goal. Bless me and wish me luck!
