Wine Warehouse Corporation and the Australian Embassy Promote Australian Wine and Drinks Over BBQ

Last April 20, 2017, Wine Warehouse Corporation, the largest beverage importation and distribution company in the Philippines, in partnership with the Australian Embassy, hosted a barbecue-themed event to promote Australian beverage products – mostly wine and beer.

Australian Ambassador to the Philippines, Amanda Gorely, hosted the event at her official residence in Forbes Park, Makati for trade and industry key partners.  The event promoted brands that define the growing beverage industry in Australia.

I was lucky to be invited to this event due to my stint as a contributor in Wine Tourist Magazine where I submitted an article about “How to Wine In Manila”. Do click on the links to learn more!

Anyway, the event was attended by over 100 of the most influential personalities in industries such as hotels, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and media partners to sample over 15 select Australian brands from the growing beverage portfolio of Wine Warehouse. Students from Enderun College also officiated as wine connoisseurs.

Some of my favorite brands and those that I personally tasted were Xanadu, St. Hallet, Innocent Bystander, and Montalto.  Since it was in the middle of summer, it was a little humid on that afternoon, so I especially enjoyed the refreshing Moscato from Innocent Bystander.

Here are some photos from the event:

I’m not really a wine expert, but I also did learn a few new things about wine.  I enjoyed wine tasting in this event, and looking forward for more!

If interested in purchasing any of the featured wines, feel free to visit Wine Warehouse’s retail stores, Wine Depot. They have several branches around the metro.  They also sell cheeses, Vittoria Coffees, and other beverages.
