Beauty Friday: Tarte’s Happy Girls Shine Brighter

It’s another Beauty Friday and it’s Cinco de Mayo! Not that I’m Mexican, but it sounds a lotta fun! Anyway for today, it’s all about my new palette from Tarte.

It’s called the “Happy Girls Shine Brighter“, and I couldn’t agree with the name more. Aside from the cute name, I love everything about this palette – from the packaging down to the powders of every shade.  It’s one of Tarte’s limited edition palettes for 2017, with all of the shades being limited editions as well.  The eyeshadows are mostly cool-toned neutral shades.  I also like that it’s very handy and something very travel-friendly. Actually, that’s one of the reasons why I got it – for my work travels.  I purchased this gem from Instagram seller – @nailsandvanity.

All the eye shadows are great – they all actually last for an entire day, with minimal fallout too, so that’s good! My favorite shade so far is Glam Girl – it’s a brownish purple shade. It’s great for an all over wash for the lids, or as a transition shade if you go for smoky eyes.  Meanwhile, the blush powder, Live Boldly, is a shimmering peach shade.  I think it works very well to complement all the eye makeup looks you can come up with wearing the shades.  It’s also long-wearing.

A makeup guide is also included for makeup newbies. I did this for my first look. However, I tweaked it a bit for my second look.

First look is “smokey”

Second look is something more “office appropriate”

Here’s a close up shot of the second look:
