It’s been ages since I bought these babies. Actually, I got them when we were in Guam at Kmart. More like, I “hoarded” them. Lol!
I think I got 6 shades and I gave the two away to my sister, and only kept my favorites. So over the past long weekend, that was the only time I was able to take really nice photos of them.
To start with, I currently have the shades Corallina, Delizioso Pin’x, Luminoso, and Rose D’Oro. They are said to be dupes for MAC’s mineralized blushes, although they have a wide range of other shades that MAC doesn’t have. The names of the shades are quite interesting too.
Let’s start with the packaging. Housed in mini gold compacts with a handy brush and mirror, I think it’s a great idea. It looks so posh and glamorous, matching the shimmers and glitters in them. That brush also works surprisingly – like a mini fan brush that applies the color on the cheeks with subtlety. Milani did a great job with the packaging.
Speaking of color, these pack a great punch. With Rose D’Oro, it’s a very pigmented and soft dark warm coral, with huge gold glitters in the powder. Corallina is a lovely looking warm coral with some silver shimmers. Luminoso, meanwhile, is the most famous of them because it’s been said to be a dupe of NARS Orgasm. I beg to disagree though – Luminoso is a beautiful warm peach blush all on its own. As for the bright cool pink Delizioso Pin’x, I really love this shade on me because it brightens up my complexion really well. It’s like NARS Angelika, only a tad sheerer and with no silver glitters.

A fan brush, a skunk blush brush, or even the brush that comes with it is key in applying the pigments. They kinda work like a blush and highlighter in one blending motion. It works amazing on my skin and does not highlight my pores. The swatches I have here can’t really show how nice they look, because I think the shades could differ depending on the skin color. You’ve seen my makeup looks wearing some of them, so I hope you get the idea.

Although I only get about 4 hours-wear time with them, I don’t mind at all because re-applying is a breeze. Sometimes, I also layer them with other more pigmented blushes and they work great together.
I have to say, ever since I got these Milani baked blushes, I’ve become a sucker for any kind of baked blush. But I would really love to hoard more shades when I get the chance!
Have you ever tried baked blushes too?
Have fun on your Friday!
